These fiddleheads are from Kilpatrick Family Farms. Many of my other favorite farms were back back today as well. It's always good to see old friends, but I was also excited to see a new vendor at the Saratoga Market - Dancing Ewe Farm with their wonderful Italian style cheeses. Their fresh sheep's milk ricotta is a personal favorite.
You are one lucky dog to have access to pecora ricotta! I've tried to find decent sheep ricotta in Manhattan and no luck and its always suspect when its out of season.

Dancing Ewe does a lot of business in Manhattan, though I dont think they do any farmers markets there. I was thrilled to see them at the Saratoga market. I believe that Three Corner Field Farm may sell their amazing sheeps milk ricotta at the Union Square Market as well as their sheeps milk yogurt.
